Collin Atkins is an associate in the firm with a practice in business and corporate law. He focuses on clients who require advice in business formation, contract drafting and negotiation, employment law and other ongoing legal concerns. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements and advising clients across different industries.
Collin has advised companies on issues such as entity selection, Sub-Chapter S elections, personal liability protection, and sales tax concerns. Before entering private practice Collin served as in-house counsel for a corporation in the industrial materials sector. Consequently, his corporate clients, who are at varying stages of formation and growth, receive the benefit of his unique business perspective as a former in-house counsel.
Collin earned his undergraduate degree in history from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. He then earned his J.D. at the William & Mary Law School, where he was a graduate research fellow and a member of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal.
Collin enjoys running, hiking, fly fishing and chasing after his dog, Deacon.
