We will return this June as a sponsor for the Rudlin Torah Academy’s Chesed Gala, an annual celebration during which RTA recognizes leaders, teachers, staff, and other contributors to the school and community. On this occasion, we will help RTA celebrate its 50th Anniversary of providing stellar general and Jewish K-8 education. RTA will honor its prior Chesed Award recipients and Board presidents, and look back at a wonderful 50 years! If you are interested in attending the Gala, please visit www.Rudlin.com.
GreeneHurlocker is proud to sponsor the 2015 Run-A-Latke on Sunday morning, December 6. The 5K race will start at 10:00 a.m., with the One-Miler starting at 9:30 a.m. Both races will start and end at the Weinstein JCC. Proceeds benefit Rudlin Torah Academy, Richmond’s Jewish day school for grades K-8, and the WJCC.
We’re excited to be a part of this fun and family-friendly race. Fast runners, slow runners, walkers, families, and children are all welcome. Also, the race has partnered with Special Olympics and Friendship Circle to ensure accessibility to the special needs community. Volunteer buddy-runners will be available upon request. For more information contact Allison Snyder of the WJCC at 545-8638.
After the run, stick around and enjoy a post-race party with bagels, donuts, hot beverages, and of course, latkes!

Brian Greene and Ruth Nathanson Greene received the President’s Award at the May 28 Joint Annual Meeting of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR) and the Richmond Jewish Federation held at the Weinstein JCC.
Richard Samet, President of JCFR, presented the Greenes with the service award for their leadership in the Jewish community. Brian recently completed four years as president of the Rudlin Torah Academy (RTA), Richmond’s Jewish day school for grades K-8. Brian is the 2012 recipient of the William B. Thalhimer Sr. Young Leadership Award from the JCFR. Ruth is currently the president of Aleph Bet Preschool (ABP) and has overseen the formation and development of a new scholarship fund to assist ABP families. Ruth is also heavily involved in various committees and other volunteer work at RTA.
We are delighted to be among the sponsors for the June 1 Lev Nadiv Gala where the Rudlin Torah Academy (RTA) will present the 2014 Chesed Award and the Above and Beyond the Call of Duty (ABCD) Award. We’re looking forward to the keynote address from Dr. Scott J. Goldberg, Director of the YU Institute for University-School Partnership.
GreeneHurlocker has long been a proud supporter of RTA, which is Richmond’s only Jewish day school. RTA provides exceptional secular and Judaic education to students in grades K-8. RTA’s students consistently score in the highest percentiles in standardized testing and, in the past 10 years, at least 95% of RTA’s 8th graders that have applied to the area’s most selective leadership or Governor’s high schools have been accepted. For more about RTA, please visit the school’s website, www.rudlin.com.
We hope you will make plans to join us at this year’s Lev Nadiv Gala, which is Hebrew for “generous heart.” Contact RTA for full dinner details!
